Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G. Plate said the government would definitely punish anyone who violates the health quarantine process during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This was conveyed by Johnny after the news that Rachel Vennya had escaped from quarantine at Wisma Atlet Pademangan with the help of TNI quarantine officers, North Jakarta, after this celebgram was on vacation from America, was widely discussed.
“Strict sanctions will definitely be imposed for those who violate it,” said Jhonny, Sunday (10/16/2021).
He explained that the Circular Letter of the Kasatgas COVID-19 No. 20/2021 has set about international travelers who will enter Indonesia.
Among them are related to quarantine obligations for international travelers that must be followed so that travelers do not fall ill or bring disease to other people.
“The regulations that have been drawn up have gone through a series of studies to ensure that all people are protected. Moreover, there are currently many threats of the entry of a new variant of Corona,” he said.
Jhonny emphasized that sanctions for international travelers who violate quarantine obligations are regulated in Article 14 of the Infectious Disease Outbreak Law and Article 93 of the Health Quarantine Law.
“Let’s guard together the rules that have been set. All the rules are intended solely to protect the health and safety of the public at large,” he said.
Meanwhile, the police will summon the celebrity Rachel Vennya for questioning, the police will also summon the manager and the celebrity’s boyfriend, Maulida Khairunnia and Salim Nauderer.
“So there is Rachel Vennya, Salim and Maulida (examined). But the summons was only to Rachel Vennya,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Saturday (16/10/2021).
Rachel and two others will be questioned on Thursday (21/10). Initially, the police were going to question Rachel on Wednesday (20/10), but it was postponed due to a holiday.
The plan, Monday (18/10) next week, an invitation letter will be sent to the celebgram. In this case, the police will handle this case to completion.
“On Monday we sent out an invitation letter. We will investigate it, we will summon it for questioning,” he said.
