President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will inaugurate the chairman and members of the Steering Committee of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (13/10/2021) afternoon.
As is known, the chairman of the BRIN Steering Committee ex officio comes from the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), namely Megawati Soekarnoputri.
Head of the Presidential Secretariat (Kasetpres) Heru Budi Hartono confirmed the inauguration of Megawati and other figures as the BRIN Steering Committee.
“That’s right,” he said when confirmed.
Based on Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 78 of 2021, the ex-officio position of the Chairperson of the BRIN Steering Committee comes from an element of the Steering Committee for the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), which is now held by Megawati Soekarnoputri.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of the BRIN Steering Committee is held ex-officio by the minister in charge of government affairs in the financial sector and the minister in charge of government affairs in the field of national development planning.
