The following is the profile of Dr. Mohammad Adib Khumaidi, Sp.OT, the new General Chairperson of the Indonesian Doctors Association (PB IDI).
IDI is in the spotlight after issuing a decision to dismiss the former Minister of Health, Terawan Agus Putranto from IDI membership.
The decision to fire Dr Terawan was issued by the IDI Center for Medical Ethics Honorary Council (MKEK).
The reason is that Terawan is considered to have committed a serious ethical misconduct, and did not have good faith during 2018-2022.
The dismissal then reap the pros and cons.
Until now, Monday (28/3/2022), IDI has not made an official statement regarding the dismissal of Dr. Terawan.
In the midst of this spotlight, IDI has just appointed a new general chairman of IDI.
