The strategy of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) to permanently fire Terawan Agus Putranto is very dangerous.
The General Chairperson of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Muslim Student Union (PB SEMMI) Bintang Wahyu Saputra suspects that there is a dangerous ploy due to the IDI decision.
“This is certainly very dangerous for the health world if the like and dislike factor is the cause of Terawan’s dismissal,” said Bintang to GenPI.co, Tuesday (5/4).
Bintang explained that this condition has the potential to make the world of health worse by the IDI decision.
This is because the results of Terawan’s dismissal seem artificial without any clear reason.
“This can apply to anyone. The world of health can be destroyed if IDI runs its organization like this,” he explained.
Therefore, Bintang said that his party would file a lawsuit with the Supreme Court regarding the IDI polemic.
According to him, it was used so that IDI would receive direct supervision from the public.
“On this basis, we will conduct a Judicial Review to the Supreme Court to amend the Health Law, especially regarding IDI so that in the future it can be monitored directly,” he added.
In addition, Bintang reminded about the importance of health for the country, so that its management also needs serious attention.
“Because, considering that public health or safety is the highest law in our country with the principle of ‘Salus Populis Suprema Lex Esto’,” he concluded.
