The Deputy Secretary General of the 212 Alumni Brotherhood (PA 212), Novel Bamukmin, admitted that he was not comfortable with the figure of General Andika Perkasa as TNI Commander.
The reason is that General Andika Perkasa is considered by Novel Bamukmin as not having closeness with scholars and Muslims.
“I see that Andika’s large family background is very unsympathetic to scholars and Muslims,” Novel told PojokSatu.id (Fahr.co.id network), Wednesday (11/10/2021).
Novel said that General Andika had also made a noise for Muslims.
In fact, according to Novel, General Andika Perkasa deliberately pitted him against each other.
However, Novel Bamukmin did not mention General Andika’s statement which he meant.
“Even (General Andika) once mentioned the element of SARA, and it was enough to make a fuss and an attempt to fight each other, even though its role was very clear in independence,” he said.
As is known, the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Andika Perkasa has been officially appointed as a candidate for the new TNI Commander.
The decision was taken by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia in a Plenary Meeting on Monday (8/11/2021).
With this stipulation, General Andika Perkasa is just waiting for his inauguration as TNI Commander to start his term of service.
“At the Council session, please allow us to ask whether the DPR RI Commission I report on the results of the fit and proper test regarding the dismissal of Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and the appointment of General Andika Perkasa as a candidate for TNI Commander can be approved,” said DPR Speaker Puan Maharani while chairing the meeting.
