Member of Commission III of the DPR RI, Arteria Dahlan, is now in the public spotlight because he is involved in an argument with a woman who claims to be a general’s family. This happened when he and his mother were at Terminal 2 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Sunday (11/21/2021) afternoon.
This was known after the spread of a video related to an argument between Arteria and her mother and the woman. At that time, he and his mother became the target of the woman’s abuse, reportedly due to problems with Arteria and her mother’s luggage.
According to Arteria, the incident started from inside the plane when the plane that brought him and his family and the woman from Bali landed at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
“She (the woman) complained, ‘your things are too much’. I have two suitcases, the one I have is holding the bag, all (passengers) are holding the bag. Even if there are two small bags they are only for support for my mother, my mother already 81 years old he needs a tool to keep his body upright,” said Arteria.
As the dispute progressed, the woman suddenly pointed at Arteria’s mother’s face and asked her to be quiet and not to interfere in the dispute between herself and Arteria.
“Just shut up, ma’am,” the woman snapped.
Suddenly Arteria’s mother fought back and ordered the woman not to point at herself.
“Eh, don’t point it out,” concluded Mrs. Arteria.
Furthermore, the woman then bragged about herself by claiming to have a 3-star general relationship and getting to know Megawati Soekarnoputri, the General Chair of the PDIP which became the political party where Arteria belongs. Arteria himself finally stated that he would take this case to court because the woman involved important people.
“It’s been processed at the Airport Police, let’s just take the legal route. I don’t want to make a fuss in the public because it involves the names of three-star generals, party leaders. So it’s not good if it gets to the surface (public),” said Arteria.
He also asked the woman to admit that she was wrong to be rude to her parents and not feel powerful just because she had important people behind her. Not only that, he also firmly threatened to destroy the woman’s name.
